A rental application is saved from step 2 so you can resume it later from the link we email you. An unfinished application is treated as a draft (see "How long we keep it").
By sending a form, you consent to the use of your information for the purposes above. For a rental application, you also give express consent, at the final step, to a check of your credit and of the information you provided. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; we may then be unable to process your request.
Our servers and some of our providers are located outside Quebec (in Canada or the United States), so your information may be stored or processed there. Before any such transfer, we assess whether the information will receive adequate protection, and our providers are bound by contract.
The site uses no advertising cookies and no analytics. It uses only cookies it needs to work:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| first-quebec-genix-session | Keeps your progress in the forms and your language choice | 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Security: protects the forms against forged submissions | 2 hours |
At the end of these periods, the information is destroyed or anonymized.
The site is served over HTTPS. Documents attached to applications are kept in a private area that only authorized staff can open, through temporary links. Administrative access is password-protected.
You can ask to see your information, correct it or have it deleted, withdraw your consent, or ask how it was collected. Write to the person in charge above; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
If an incident poses a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned, and we keep a register of all incidents.
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the last change.
